Give Back To Bangladesh
Give back to Bangladesh is an initiative to help destitute people in Bangladesh. It will also facilitate donors from North America to give their zakat/general charity to the needy people they know in back home. Donors can specify whom to provide his/her zakat/general charity. This program provides you an opportunity to care for the humanity with your tax deductible donation.
With your consent this fund can also be utilized in Forum86 projects that undertakes similar project to help the needy in Bangladesh.
How does it work?
Donations can be made as multiple of $140. For each $100 donation, an amount of Tk. 16,000 will be directly sent to the recipient using BKash as you assign. A single recipient can receive a maximum of Tk. 32,000 ($140×2). This is to enable and encourage serving more people with your generosity. Donors are encouraged to donate as many people as possible.
If donors choose not to provide recipient information, Forum86 will apply those funds to poor and needy families that are zakat eligible. The Forum86 team in Bangladesh takes the responsibility to find a list of recipients in that category.
Timeline:
Phase 1 – If you pay by March 2nd – we will make our best attempt t send money to recipients get money before EID. If you want o make sure your recipients get money before EID, you need to pay within 10th Ramadan.
Phase 2 – Pay by April 4th, money will be sent within 2 weeks after EID.
FAQ:
Is it Zakat Eligible?
Yes, you can use your zakat money for this project. If you choose the recipients, it is your responsibility to select zakat eligible recipients. However, if Forum86 chooses the recipients on your behalf, we will make sure recipients are zakat eligible, poor and needy.
How do I enter recipients information?
Donors will be communicated and will be provided a link to enter recipients information.
Can I use my company match for this cause?
Yes, you are welcome to use company matching for this cause. Forum86 USA is authorized to receive matching grants from companies like Intel, Microsoft, TI, Qualcomm, and few others. If you are using company matching – we are requesting you to send the receipt/confirmation to: admin@forum86usa.org for accounting purposes.

- Using Zelle: Please use email – forum86usa@yahoo.com’ and write ‘Vive back to Bangladesh 2025’ on the memo line
- Using company matching websites (e.g., Benevity): Find ‘Forum86’ organization and mention ‘Give back to Bangladesh 2025’ in notes and share your info (name, email, address)
